F1 75 Live 🏁

As the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches, the F1 75 Live event at the O2 in London gave us a chance to have a first look at all the new liveries and driver line-ups. From Lewis Hamilton’s first public appearance in red to a James Bond-style livery reveal, Tuesday night gave us a glimpse of the exciting moments this season has in store.

💚Stake KICK Sauber

Stake KICK Sauber was the first team to present their livery for the 2025 season. Nico Hulkenberg remains in Formula 1 for 2025 with the senior seat in his new team, while rookie Gabriel Bortoleto is aiming for success after being crowned champion his debut year in Formula 2. In the team’s final year before transitioning to Audi, Mattia Binotto opted for a dynamic pairing ahead of the transformation.

💙Atlassian Williams Racing

Williams Racing, with a very optimistic team mindset, was up next. Carlos Sainz “cannot wait” to begin the new chapter in his career whilst Alex Albon, now in his third year being a Williams driver, can already see the improvements on the car. The two drivers stood alongside team principal James Vowles, who is striving for Williams to be back at the top step.

🤍Visa CashApp Racing Bulls

The most noticeable livery change belongs to the VCARB, switching from dark blue to white. Hopefully, this car will give Isack Hadjar the chance to prove himself amongst the other rookies on the grid and Yuki Tsunoda to upgrade his skills, preparing him for that Red Bull seat if the opportunity presents itself.

❤️MoneyGram Haas

As for the only American team on the grid, Haas-has-had a total driver makeover with the pairing of Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman. Will we witness more iconic on-track battles (and comments) with Ocon and his new teammate? Will Bearman secure his maiden win in a Haas this year? The team is determined to keep growing, as this year marks their 10th anniversary in Formula 1.

🩷BWT Alpine

In the last 3 races of the 2024 season Pierre Gasly snuck himself into P10 and his team in P6. Will this brand-new blue-pink A525 help him and his rookie teammate, Jack Doohan, fight for more this year? The real question is whether Doohan will finish the season or be replaced by one of the three reserve drivers Alpine has secured for this year.

🖤Aston Martin Aramco

Aston Martin knows how to do a livery unveiling in style and last night they served us with an iconic James Bond-inspired, show starring the 2-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. The team retains its driver line-up, focusing on continuing with their consistent point finishes this year.

🩶Mercedes AMG PETRONAS

The loss of a 7-time world champion does not seem to affect Mercedes as Toto Wolff seems very pleased with having George Russell stepping up as the number 1 driver on the team and a very promising 18-year-old rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli ready to break the records. With this combination of youth and experience the team is ready to fight for the championship.

💙Oracle Red Bull Racing

Christian Horner is focused on securing reigning champion Max Verstappen his 5th WDC and with the help of Liam Lawson, who is preparing for his first full F1 season, ensuring the team’s return to the WCC battle. The traditional Red Bull livery remains, with just a few sponsorship additions.

❤️Scuderia Ferrari HP

The 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was seen in red alongside one of this season’s favorites, Charles Leclerc, and team principal Fred Vasseur.

With Hamilton desperate to end his Formula 1 career as the sole 8-time world champion and Leclerc hungry for his first WDC, will this pairing succeed or will we witness what could be one of the worst teammate rivalries in history?

As far as this dark red livery is concerned, it was love at first sight and my personal favorite.

(P.S. Roscoe and Leo should’ve been up there)

🧡McLaren

Last, but certainly not least, came the Papaya family. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, the dynamic, young duo that helped McLaren win their first WCC in 26 years, remains, with Norris ready for this year’s title challenge after finishing second last year and Piastri eager to gain even more career wins in just his third year in Formula 1. The 2024 Constructors’ Champions designed a livery similar to their winning one, because why mess with perfection?

Everyone is counting down the days till it’s lights out again on March 16th but until then, we have the Bahrain testing from February 26th to 28th to keep us entertained. The 2025 season promises intense competition within the teams and among the teammates, with many favorites for this year’s WDC and many rookies looking to secure their seats.
