Round 4: Bahrain π§π
Under the blazing lights of Bahrain, the 2025 Formula 1 season delivered a weekend full of speed, strategy and surprises. From McLaren’s commanding performance to unexpected midfield shake-ups, the desert set the stage for a race weekend full of drama.
McLaren’s Desert Dominance
Oscar Piastri drove one of the most dominant races of his F1 career so far, leading the grid under the desert lights. From lights out, Piastri showcased flawless control and tire management, holding off challenges from more experienced rivals. This victory solidified Piastri’s status as one of the rising stars of the grid, with many now viewing him as a serious contender in the 2025 title fight - just three points behind his teammate. Apart from Piastri’s win, Lando Norris helped McLaren secure yet another 1-3, marking their third double podium of the season.
Gasly Puts Alpine Back on the Map
Pierre Gasly managed to score Alpine’s first points of the season after delivering strong performances throughout the entire weekend, battling with the top teams. His impressive drive not only marked a personal achievement but also provided a significant boost for Alpine, signaling the team’s potential for the upcoming races.
Williams Struggles in Bahrain
Williams Racing faced a challenging weekend at the Bahrain Grand Prix, with both drivers failing to score points for the first time this season. Alex Albon’s race was compromised after qualifying fifteenth and his chances were limited even more after an unfortunate safety car. Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz was forced to retire - his second DNF of the season - after his collision with Yuki Tsunoda and received a ten-second penalty following contact with Kimi Antonelli.
Against the Odds: Haas Delivers
Haas delivered a commendable performance in Bahrain making a strong comeback after a difficult qualifying session. The team’s strategic decisions and race pace allowed them to challenge midfield rivals and earn valuable points heading into the next rounds.
With Bahrain now in the rearview mirror, the focus shifts to the fast streets of Jeddah. As underdogs like Haas and Alpine find their footing, and top teams navigate inconsistency, we can only expect even more chaos in the races to come.
